This is the 616 Dispatch hourly briefing for seven to eight this morning.

Grand Rapids had a report of downed power lines on the one hundred block of Lawndale Avenue. Over in Kentwood, a break-in on the fifty-four hundred block of Newcastle Drive. Units are still working. Grand Rapids had a hit-and-run on U.S. 131 southbound, north of Pearl. And in Grand Rapids, another hit-and-run on I-196 eastbound, east of Lake Michigan.

If you're driving, watch for an incident on eastbound I-96 after 48th Street in Wright Township, with lanes affected. Also watch for a property-damage crash on southbound U.S. 31 to Chicago Drive Off Ram in Holland. On the construction front, the right lane of eastbound I-196 is closed from Market Avenue to Lane Avenue, today only.

Twenty-nine calls in all this hour. Among them: twelve crashes, four fire alarms and four medical calls.

And the weather. It's fifty-two degrees and light rain in Grand Rapids at the moment. Today, rain showers, with a high of fifty-four. Tonight, chance rain showers then mostly cloudy, with a low of thirty-eight.

That's the briefing. The next one is at nine.

Read by a computer-generated voice. Calls about people in crisis are counted but never read out. Some sources post their calls late, so an hour's count can be low.
